Brahmin Welfare Council Bhatiyat Celebrates Shri Parshuram Jayanti

On the auspicious occasion of Shri Parshuram Jayanti, the Brahmin Welfare Council Bhatiyat organized grand programs at Garnota and Hunera under the leadership of Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania.

At Garnota, the Speaker performed the foundation ceremony of a community hall (Parshuram Bhavan) to be constructed at a cost of ₹12 lakh. He offered prayers and floral tributes to Lord Parshuram, formally inaugurating the celebrations.

Extending greetings to the people of Himachal Pradesh, Pathania highlighted the relevance of Lord Parshuram’s ideals, noting that his incarnation was to eradicate injustice and establish dharma. He urged the gathering to uphold moral values, social harmony, and righteous living in daily life.

Later in the day, Pathania unveiled a 12-foot statue of Lord Parshuram at Hunera village in Gram Panchayat Avanh. He announced that the site would be developed as Parshuram Ghat and Parshuram Vatika, promoting both religious devotion and tourism. For this, he pledged ₹5 lakh and assured support for constructing a protective shed for the statue.

Speaking on Himachal’s rich cultural heritage, Pathania described the state as Dev Bhoomi (Land of Gods) and Veer Bhoomi (Land of the Brave), emphasizing its soldiers’ contribution to national unity and integrity. He reiterated his commitment to the holistic development of Bhatiyat constituency, citing progress in roads, electricity, healthcare, and local projects over the past three years.

The Speaker also announced financial assistance: ₹1 lakh for Brahmin Welfare Council Garnota, ₹51,000 for Hunera, and ₹21,000 for cultural performers. He addressed public grievances during the program.

The event featured devotional performances by renowned Himachali bhajan singer Pammi Thakur, adding spiritual fervor to the celebrations.

The program was graced by DSP Sher Singh, Forest Corporation Director Chela Krishan Chand, State Cooperative Bank Director Rajkumar, Block Congress Committee President Vijay Kanwar, DFO Rajnish Sharma, BDO Anil Gurada, Executive Engineer (Electricity) Pankaj Rathore, PWD Officer Narendra Chaudhary, and prominent members of the Brahmin Welfare Council including Uttam Kaushal, Dr. Brijendra Sharma, Anil Dogra, and Anil Sharma.
