The Mandi district administration has finalized renowned Punjabi Sufi singer Lakhwinder Wadali and popular Punjabi artist Kulwinder Billa as the star performers for this year’s International Shivratri Festival, scheduled from February 27 to March 5.

Lakhwinder Wadali & Kulwinder Billa to Headline Cultural Evenings

According to sources, Lakhwinder Wadali will perform on February 27 during the festival’s first cultural evening, where Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will be the chief guest. This event is set to continue until midnight.

On March 1, Kulwinder Billa will take the stage as the main performer during the third cultural evening. Lakhwinder Wadali has already confirmed his participation through a social media post.

Notably, both artists have previously performed at the Mandi Shivratri Festival in past years. This time, the administration aims to break away from traditional formats and offer a more engaging and refreshing experience to festivalgoers.

International Troupes to Add Global Flair

A major highlight of this year’s festival will be the participation of cultural troupes from six countries—USA, Thailand, Malaysia, Egypt, Kazakhstan, and Sri Lanka.

These groups will not only present traditional dance and music performances but will also bring a unique culinary experience, allowing visitors to explore international flavors throughout the week-long fair.

Dedicated Evenings for Himachali Artists & More Performances

Out of the six cultural evenings, two will be exclusively reserved for Himachali artists, giving them a platform to showcase their talent. The selection of artists for the remaining two evenings is still underway, with the administration in discussions with performers from Mumbai and Punjab.

With a rich mix of Indian and international performances, along with a showcase of global cuisine, this year’s Mandi Shivratri Festival promises to be a truly immersive cultural experience, making it one of the most anticipated events in the region.
