Dharamshala: The Newz Radar (TNR) recently honoured Vinay Dhiman, the District Tourism Development Officer (DTDO) of Kangra, for his unwavering dedication, humility and decisive leadership in public service.
Dhiman’s remarkable journey from being a practising lawyer in the Punjab and Haryana High Court to a key figure in Himachal Pradesh’s administrative setup serves as an inspiration for many.
Hailing from Dramman village in the Shahpur area of Kangra district, Dhiman pursued a career in law and successfully balanced his professional commitments while preparing for the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services (HPAS) examination. His perseverance paid off when he cleared the examination and was appointed to HAS in 2008.
Over the years, Dhiman has held crucial roles, including his tenure as the Secretary of the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, where he played a pivotal role in enhancing the state’s education system.
Currently serving as the DTDO in Kangra, he has been instrumental in promoting tourism and implementing sustainable development initiatives in the region. His efforts have significantly contributed to boosting the state’s tourism sector.
Recognised for his composed demeanor and sound decision-making abilities, Dhiman has earned immense respect among colleagues and the public alike.
