Dharamshala – A program was organized at the Government Senior Secondary School in Narwana town to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti. Students engaged in a range of activities, including painting, speech competitions, and street plays, emphasizing the core principles of truth and non-violence championed by Mahatma Gandhi.
School Principal Balvinder Singh Guleria addressed the gathering, urging everyone to embrace Gandhi’s teachings. He highlighted the importance of adhering to his messages of truthfulness and non-violence while also addressing the critical issue of addiction. “The best tribute to Mahatma Gandhi would be for the younger generation to stay away from drugs,” he remarked.
The students showcased their talents enthusiastically. In the speech competition, Vanshika secured the first position, followed by Khushi in second place and Tanvi in third. The painting competition featured participants including Vanshika, Ankit, Aditi, Eliza, Simran, Divya, Arnav, Aansu, Kartik, Tanishk, and Rajat.
Additionally, a powerful street play was performed, effectively conveying the message of living an addiction-free life. Principal Guleria, along with faculty members Bansilal, Sandeep Kumar, Amit Kumar, Manju Bala, Anupama, Ajay Kumar, Dinesh, Kamlesh Sharma, and Ajeeb Guleria, were present to support the students and underscore the significance of Gandhi’s legacy.
The event served as a reminder of the enduring relevance of Gandhi’s teachings in today’s world, inspiring students to adopt his values in their lives.
