Block-Level Girls’ Under-19 Sports Conclude at GSSS Ladori

The closing ceremony of the Block-Level Girls’ Under-19 Sports Meet was held today at Government Senior Secondary School (Excellent), Ladodi. The event was attended by local panchayat representatives, members of the School Management Committee, and the School Adoption Committee.

Principal Atul Nag informed that the competitions were organised from September 6 to 8, with participation from 36 schools and nearly 300 players in kabaddi, kho-kho, badminton, volleyball, and chess.

  • Kabaddi & Kho-Kho: Ladodi School emerged winners, while Chaunki School finished as runners-up.
  • Volleyball: Hatli Jamwala School delivered an outstanding performance.
  • Badminton: Thoda Public School clinched the winner’s trophy.
  • Chess: Government Senior Secondary School Jachh secured victory.

Outstanding players from these events will now be selected to represent their schools at the district-level competitions.

Winners were felicitated by the school management and distinguished guests. The programme was anchored by Ruchi Gupta.

Among those present were Principal Atul Nag, Principal Karm Chand Deol (Boys’ School Nurpur), former Principal Narottam Dhiman, School Adoption Committee member Ashwani Pathania, local society representative Basant Singh, Panchayat Pradhan Sanjay, Ward Member Munish, SMC Chairperson Renu Pathania, Durga Chauhan, Narendra Sharma, along with principals and sports instructors from various schools of Nurpur block.

The event concluded with appreciation for the players’ talent and encouragement to continue excelling at higher levels.
