Chamba: The Food Safety Department has launched a strict crackdown on the sale and use of analog paneer in Chamba district. Assistant Commissioner, Food and Safety Department, Deepak Anand, informed that action will be taken against any analog paneer found not meeting prescribed food safety standards.
He stated that keeping in view public health and the quality of food products, the department has begun inspecting paneer and other dairy items available in local markets. Shopkeepers, hotel owners, and food business operators have been instructed to strictly adhere to food safety norms.
Deepak Anand appealed to food traders not to sell any prohibited or substandard food items. He also urged consumers to check the quality, labeling, and packaging details before purchasing paneer or any dairy product.
He emphasized that the department will take appropriate legal action against violators of food safety regulations. The primary objective of the Food Safety Department, he added, is to ensure that citizens receive safe and high-quality food products.
