On August 11, 2026, the second day of the In-House Teacher Training Programme at Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Kangra began with Guru Poojan and Transcendental Meditation, held under the blessings of His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ji and the guidance of Hon’ble Chairman Brahmachari Girish Ji.
School Principal Ms. Pooja Sharma welcomed and felicitated the Resource Person, Principal Mr. Anurag Sharma, who led the day’s sessions.
Mr. Sharma elaborated on the role of education in empowering students through Indian Knowledge Systems and Vocational Education, highlighting India’s rich intellectual heritage and its relevance in modern teaching. He emphasized how vocational education fosters essential skills, self-reliance, and empowerment among students.
The programme also featured an insightful session on Transcendental Meditation, where teachers learned about its benefits for enhancing focus, well-being, and consciousness.
Principal Ms. Pooja Sharma noted that integrating Indian Knowledge Systems, Vocational Education, and Meditation makes education more holistic, value-based, and effective. She stressed that such training initiatives are vital for enhancing teachers’ knowledge, skills, and awareness, while contributing to the holistic development of students.
