The Departments of Commerce and Economics at Government Arya Degree College, Nurpur organized a special lecture on Financial Awareness for B.Com students.
The session was led by Mr. Rajesh Neyar, Deputy Manager, LIC, along with Mr. Narendra, Development Officer, who shared insights on financial planning and awareness.
In his address, Mr. Neyar emphasized the importance of savings, investment, insurance, financial planning, and risk management. He highlighted that proper management of income and planned savings are essential for meeting future financial needs. He also explained the role of life insurance in providing economic security to families and supporting long-term financial planning.
Students actively engaged in the session, asking questions related to insurance, investment, and personal finance.
Dr. Diljit Singh, Acting Principal, appreciated the initiative, stating that financial awareness is crucial for students to make better financial decisions in the future.
At the conclusion, Professor Kiran Wala expressed gratitude to Mr. Neyar for his valuable lecture. Faculty members including Professor Surjit Singh and Professor Pearl Bakhshi, along with 105 students, were present at the event.
