A crucial meeting was held on Tuesday at the Mini Secretariat Bharmaur under the chairmanship of Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Bharmaur, Rajneesh Mahajan, to review arrangements for the upcoming Shri Manimahesh Yatra 2026. The focus was on regulating temporary shops along the sacred trek and ensuring strict cleanliness measures.
Key decisions included a complete ban on the sale of ₹5 snacks, chips, and ₹10 cold drinks along the Manimahesh track. In addition, the use and sale of polythene, khaini, gutkha, and liquor will remain strictly prohibited.
DFO Rajneesh Mahajan appealed to shopkeepers, langar committees, and pilgrims to extend full cooperation in maintaining the sanctity and cleanliness of the holy Manimahesh shrine. He emphasized that preserving a pollution-free environment is a collective responsibility, ensuring that future generations can continue to experience the natural and spiritual grandeur of this sacred site.
The meeting was attended by officials and staff of the Forest Department Bharmaur, traders from Hadsar, Manimahesh Trust member Mahinder Sharma, and representatives of the Chaurasi Vyapar Mandal Bharmaur including President Mahinder Patyal, Treasurer Kalu Sharma, and Press Secretary Pyar Sharma.
