Organized under the aegis of DSSA Dharamshala, the District-Level Under-19 Major Games were hosted at Government Senior Secondary School, Kaliara (Kangra). The competitions witnessed outstanding performances from the Noorpur block.
In the badminton championship, players Avni and Jayantika from Public Senior Secondary School, Thoda (Noorpur) clinched the winner’s trophy, showcasing remarkable skill and teamwork. Adding to the glory, Jatinder Pal Singh Dhillon secured a gold medal in wrestling, bringing pride to his school and the region.
The victorious athletes were warmly welcomed back at their school, where the School Management Committee extended congratulations and best wishes. Both players credited their success to their school, coaches, and DSSA Noorpur team, and have now been selected for the state-level competition camp.
The event was graced by dignitaries including former Principal Tarun Pathania, coaches Lavneesh Rana and Munish Rana, former Zila Parishad member Aparna Pathania, along with Bhanupriya and Deeksha Pathania. Their presence added encouragement and recognition to the young talents.
