Gaggal
Under the ongoing Anti-Chitta Campaign, Superintendent of Police Kangra, Kulbhushan Verma, reached Gaggal Panchayat today to spread awareness against the rising menace of synthetic drugs like heroin.
Addressing villagers, youth, and members of Mahila Mandals at the Panchayat Bhawan, SP Verma emphasized that drug abuse destroys not only individuals but entire families and communities. He urged young people to stay away from drugs and focus on education and sports, while appealing to parents to closely observe behavioral changes in their children and engage in open conversations with them.
SP Verma highlighted that Kangra Police is conducting awareness drives in every Panchayat while simultaneously taking strict action against drug traffickers. He encouraged residents to report any suspicious activity or drug peddling in their villages by dialing 112, assuring that the identity of informants will remain completely confidential.
Local Panchayat representatives were also present during the program, pledging their support to the campaign.
