Continuing its sustained campaign against drug trafficking, Nurpur Police has apprehended one individual with a banned narcotic substance.
Case Details: During routine patrolling and checking, the CIA Nurpur team intercepted a suspicious person near Kandwal Police Post. On conducting a lawful search, 6.63 grams of heroin (chitta) was recovered from his possession.
Accused Information:
- Name: Ajay Danial alias Manju (Age: 44 years)
- Resident: Village Gent, Dr. Ramnagar Dini, Tehsil Indora, District Kangra (H.P.)
Legal Action: A case has been registered against the accused under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act. He has been taken into custody. The motorcycle used in the crime, a Yamaha FZ (Registration No. HP 38 E 1151), has also been seized by the police.
Further Investigation: Police is carrying out detailed investigation to trace other links in this drug network.
