On Wednesday morning at around 8:00 AM, former Gram Panchayat Nagali Pradhan, Subhash Sharma, informed Khairi Police Station about the discovery of a suspicious balloon. Acting swiftly on the tip-off, DSP Dalhousie Mayank Sharma, along with the Khairi police team, reached the spot near village Toba.

During inspection, the team recovered a white and blue balloon entangled in bushes. The balloon bore the letters “PIA” in English and carried a printed image of the Pakistani flag. Former Pradhan Subhash Sharma and several local residents were present at the site during the recovery.

DSP Mayank Sharma took possession of the balloon and deposited it safely in the police station’s malkhana (storehouse). Authorities have now launched a detailed investigation into the matter.

It is noteworthy that a similar balloon was found in the same region only a few days ago. This marks the second such incident in the area, raising concerns among locals and prompting heightened vigilance by the police.
