Union Minister Kiren Rijiju Accorded Grand Welcome in Chamba

Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, received a warm welcome upon his arrival in Chamba at the PWD Rest House, Dhundiyara Bungalow. Local residents, public representatives, and administrative officials gathered to greet him.

The reception was attended by Dr. Rajiv Bhardwaj, MP, MLAs Neeraj Nayyar and D.S. Thakur, former MLA Vikram Jaryal, Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repswal, and Superintendent of Police Vijay Kumar Saklani, along with other dignitaries.

On the occasion, the Union Minister held discussions with local representatives and officials regarding developmental projects and the implementation of various government schemes in the region. Later, he also visited Dalhousie and Khajjiar, where he was welcomed by former MLA Pawan Nayyar, local residents, and members of the Buddhist community.

The event saw the presence of several senior officials, including SDM Anil Bhardwaj, Manish Soni, Priyanshu Khati, District Tourism Development Officer Rajiv Mishra, District Programme Officer (Child Development) Kamal Kishore Sharma, District Welfare Officer Raj Bahadur, BDO Anil Gurda, Executive Engineers Pankaj Rathore, Narendra Chaudhary, and Meet Sharma, among others.

Upcoming Foundation Stone Ceremonies

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju will lay the foundation stone of the ITI building and Sports Complex at Bhanjaradu on March 1, 2026, in the morning. Later in the afternoon, he will inaugurate the Indoor Stadium (Sports Complex) at Salooni, marking another milestone in the region’s development.
