Bharmour – The Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Development Federation Limited, Shimla, organized a one-day cooperative education camp in Bharmour under the Assistant Registrar Cooperative Societies, Chamba. The camp was held at the circle level for members of the management committees of cooperative societies in Bharmour.
Around 50 members participated in the program. On this occasion, Mr. Naresh Kumar, spokesperson from the Cooperative Management Center, Garli, provided detailed information about new government schemes aimed at strengthening cooperative society operations, in line with the observance of International Year of Cooperatives 2025.
Additionally, Mr. Balwant Singh, Cooperative Education Instructor, guided committee members about their rights and responsibilities within cooperative societies, emphasizing the importance of effective management and accountability.
Purpose of the Camp
The initiative aimed to enhance awareness among cooperative committee members, improve their understanding of cooperative principles, and encourage them to adopt new strategies for strengthening cooperative business activities.
