CM announces ₹383 crore development package for Doon

Shimla: Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, during his one-day visit to the Doon Assembly constituency in Solan district, inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of 12 developmental projects worth ₹383 crore.

  • He inaugurated the Baddi–Sai–Ramshahar road constructed at a cost of ₹86 crore, tube wells in Doon area worth ₹15.78 crore, the Civil Hospital in Baddi built at ₹10.64 crore, and the new building of the Community Health Centre in Barotiwala costing ₹3.15 crore.
  • The Chief Minister also inaugurated newly constructed Government Primary Schools at Haripur Sandoli, Suraj Majra, Labana, and Chakkan in the Baddi education block.

Additionally, he laid foundation stones for several major projects:

  • Reliable Power Supply Scheme, Baddi – ₹73.21 crore
  • Baddi–Sheetalpur–Jagatkhana road – ₹63.73 crore
  • ISBT Baddi – ₹40 crore
  • Mini Secretariat building, Baddi – ₹37.67 crore
  • Sewerage scheme for uncovered areas of Baddi – ₹37.10 crore
  • Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding School, Kalyanpur – ₹5 crore

These projects, the CM said, will strengthen infrastructure in health, education, transport, and power supply, giving a major boost to the overall development of the Doon region.
