A rusted and damaged direction board at Gaggal Chowk on the Dharamshala road has become a potential hazard, with local residents and shopkeepers warning that it could collapse at any moment. The board, which guides traffic towards key routes including Gaggal Airport, shakes violently even in mild winds, raising fears of a serious accident.

Thousands of commuters, tourist vehicles, and local traffic pass through this busy junction daily. Residents including Rajesh Kumar, Atul Tuli, Anku, Sonu, Harnek, Jagat Ram, and Anil stated that the risk intensifies during rains and strong winds, as the supporting pipes beneath the board have corroded and are half-cut due to rust.

Locals and shopkeepers have urged the administration and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to immediately remove the dilapidated board and install a new one before any mishap occurs. They stressed that timely action is essential to ensure the safety of commuters and prevent an avoidable tragedy.
