DHARAMSHALA: As the Congress marks the completion of its one year in power in Himachal Pradesh, the picturesque hill town of Dharamshala is adorned with prominent hoardings showcasing the achievements under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. Major initiatives, including the ambitious goal of transforming Kangra into a tourism capital and a groundbreaking 50 per cent subsidy programme, take centrestage in the visual display.
The most cabinet ministers arrived in Dharamshala on Sunday night, gearing up for the grand celebration. Party officials have revealed that arrangements have been made to accommodate around 30,000 people at the Police Ground in Dharamshala. About 900 buses have been arranged by the Congress to ferry supporters from various parts of the state.
Congress MLA from Shahpur Kewal Singh Pathania shared insights into the event, stating that the distinguished gathering is expected to witness the participation of senior party leaders, including Priyanka Gandhi and AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge.
Congress in-charge for Himachal Rajiv Shukla is also anticipated to join the event, alongside Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and all members of his cabinet.
