Dharamshala
A new milestone was achieved in Himachal Pradesh as Navjeevan Trust organized a massive blood donation camp under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, marking 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public service. The camp, held at Narwana in Dharamshala, collected 722 units of blood, surpassing the previous state record of 603 units.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from youth, local citizens, and people from diverse communities. To ensure smooth management and avoid overcrowding, donors were allotted separate time slots, making the process efficient and well-organized.
Speaking at the occasion, MLA Sudhir Sharma emphasized that blood donation is a sacred campaign that transcends caste, region, and boundaries. “All blood is the same, and through donation, we serve humanity,” he said, while extending congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 25 years in public life. He recalled that Modi first took oath as Gujarat’s Chief Minister on October 7, 2001, and has since served three terms in Gujarat before becoming India’s Prime Minister, under whose leadership India has emerged as a global power.
The camp was also attended by Mayor Shamsher Singh Nehria, Deputy Mayor Prerna Guleria, Dharamshala Panchayat Samiti President and Vice President, Navjeevan Trust Chairperson Mrs. Shakun, members of Tanda Medical College, and Bhagwan Buddha Charitable Trust, among other dignitaries.
With 722 units collected—119 units more than the previous record— the Dharamshala camp stands as a shining example of service, dedication, and community participation. The achievement reflects the collective spirit of the citizens and their commitment to humanitarian causes.
