Special trains to ply from this Himachal town for Maha Kumbh, maximum fare Rs 1,670

To make travel easier for devotees heading to the Maha Kumbh in Uttar Pradesh town Prayagraj, the Indian Railways has introduced a series of special trains from Una beginning January 17.
The Maha Kumbh, a grand spiritual event that attracts crores of pilgrims from across the nation, began on January 13 in Prayagraj.

A railways spokesperson said the first train (04528) will depart from Una at 10.05 pm on January 17 and arrive at Prayagraj’s Phaphamau junction by 6 pm the next day.
This service will return to Una from Phaphamau at 10.30 pm on January 18. Subsequent departures from Una are scheduled for January 20, January 25, February 9, February 15 and February 23, with corresponding returns from Prayagraj the next day.

18 coaches in train, fare from Rs 620 onwards

Each train will have 18 coaches, including sleeper, general and AC three-tier coaches. The fare is set at Rs 620 for sleeper class and Rs 1,670 for AC three-tier.
The train includes five sleeper coaches, 10 general compartments and one AC three-tier coach, with the remaining two coaches designated for guard and luggage. Tickets for the general compartments can be purchased two hours before departure.
To accommodate passengers from various locations, the train will halt at multiple stations, including Nangal Dam, Anandpur Sahib, Roop Nagar, Morinda, Chandigarh, Ambala Cantt, Yamunanagar Jagadhri, Saharanpur, Roorkee, Najibabad, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Lucknow and Rae Bareli.
