Dayanand Model Senior Secondary School, Dharamshala, has proudly announced the outstanding achievements of its students in recent sports tournaments.
According to Principal Mrs. Meenakshi Gautam, student Priya Sharma brought laurels to the school by winning gold medals in Under‑15 badminton singles and doubles at the national‑level championship organized by the United Indian Sports Foundation. She further added to the glory by securing a silver medal in the Under‑17 category.
In the same championship, Pragun Hans clinched a silver medal in Under‑15 badminton, showcasing remarkable talent and determination.
At the district‑level athletics meet, student Srishti Nadda dominated the track and field events, winning gold medals in 60m, 600m, long jump, and high jump competitions. Meanwhile, Amayra also made her mark by securing a bronze medal in the 60m sprint.
During the school assembly, Principal Mrs. Gautam honored the young achievers and extended gratitude to teachers Mr. Rajat Kumar and Mr. Kapil Kumar for their dedicated guidance. She also expressed appreciation to District Sports Officer Mr. Ravi Shankar for organizing such events that inspire and encourage students to excel in sports.
