Champions Trophy: CM Sukhu invites victorious Team India to Himachal for celebration, offers to bear all expenses


Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has extended an invitation to the victorious Indian cricket team to visit the state after their triumph in the Champions Trophy. He has also offered to bear all expenses for the players’ stay and hospitality.


Following Team India’s remarkable victory against New Zealand in the final in Dubai, CM Sukhu took to social media platform X to congratulate the team.
“Your hard work and dedication have made the entire nation proud,” he wrote in his post.


Inviting the players to relax in the serene landscapes of Himachal, CM Sukhu stated, “We welcome the entire team to the peaceful and scenic valleys of Himachal Pradesh. The state will be honoured to host you all.”


Expressing his admiration for the team’s performance, he concluded his post with, “Shandaar, Zindabad, Jabardast… Chak De India!”
The Indian cricket team secured a historic win in the Champions Trophy final, defeating New Zealand in a thrilling contest.


The Chief Minister’s gesture reflects Himachal’s enthusiasm for cricket and its commitment to celebrating the country’s sporting achievements.


Himachal Pradesh had world-class cricket facilities in the Dharamshala stadium and breathtaking natural retreats. Three IPL matches are to be played at the stadium in the coming season.
