The monthly meeting of retired pensioners of Bharmour Sub-Division was held on Thursday at Chaurasi Hotel under the chairmanship of M.R. Patyal, Treasurer of the Pensioners Welfare Association, Bharmour Unit. During the meeting, members deliberated on various issues affecting pensioners and unanimously passed several important resolutions concerning their pending financial dues.

The pensioners expressed gratitude to the Himachal Pradesh Government for granting a 5 percent Dearness Allowance (DA) to pensioners. However, they urged the government to release the remaining 10 percent DA along with arrears at the earliest.

A second resolution called for the settlement of all pending financial liabilities of employees who retired between January 1, 2016, and January 1, 2022. The demands included the payment of gratuity, leave encashment, pension arrears, and other outstanding benefits.

In another proposal, the association requested the government to expedite the release of arrears and other pending dues of employees who retired after February 1, 2022. Members emphasized that the timely clearance of these dues would provide much-needed financial relief to pensioners.

Prominent members attending the meeting included Pyar Singh Chadak, Uttam Chand Rana, Gopal Dass, Ram Chand, Jagdish Sharma, Hemraj, Shubhkaran, Dila Ram, Raj Kumar, and Bhagat Ram, along with other association members.

The association appealed to the state government to take early action on the pending demands and ensure that pensioners receive their rightful financial benefits without further delay.
