Boost to healthcare development and technological innovation

Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Kuldeep Singh Pathania today inaugurated the ultrasound facility at the Civil Hospital, Dalhousie.
Addressing a public gathering at Bachat Bhavan, Pathania highlighted that in the past three years, the state government has taken concrete steps to strengthen healthcare services. Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, he said that the government is ensuring the expansion of infrastructure along with the provision of modern, technology-based machinery and equipment. This, he noted, is fostering healthcare development and innovation, enabling citizens to access better, faster, and more affordable medical services.
Referring to Chamba district, Pathania emphasized that despite its vast and scattered geography, significant progress has been achieved in healthcare, education, drinking water, electricity, and road connectivity. He added that the government has prioritized extending facilities to remote and difficult-to-reach areas, with visible positive results now emerging on the ground.
Pathania conveyed his best wishes to the people, stating that the availability of ultrasound services at Dalhousie Civil Hospital will benefit both local residents and visiting tourists. He reiterated his commitment to the holistic development of Bhatiyat constituency, mentioning that construction work on drinking water projects worth ₹190 crore is nearing completion and will soon be inaugurated.
Earlier, Chief Medical Officer Dr. J.S. Bhardwaj welcomed and honored the Speaker, while also sharing important updates related to the health department.
