Mandi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated three critical care blocks via online mode from Rajkot, Gujarat on February 25.
The ceremony, attended by dignitaries including former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, marked a milestone in bolstering medical facilities in the state.
The critical care blocks, to be established in Una, Tanda, and Mandi districts, represent an investment of Rs 17.36 crore each. These state-of-the-art facilities are poised to enhance healthcare accessibility and cater to the growing medical needs of the region. One of the blocks will feature a six-storey structure equipped with 50 beds.
In addition to inaugurating the critical care blocks, the Prime Minister also flagged off three mobile food safety vans, aimed at ensuring the quality and hygiene of food products across Shimla, Hamirpur, and Mandi districts.
Expressing gratitude for the Prime Minister’s continued support, former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur highlighted the transformative impact of these healthcare interventions on Himachal Pradesh. He emphasized the state’s proactive approach towards strengthening healthcare infrastructure, citing recent initiatives undertaken to bolster services at the Nerchowk Medical College.
The event was attended by a host of dignitaries, including former Minister and MLA Sadar Anil Sharma, Sunder Nagar MLA Rakesh Jamwal, MLA Nachan Vinod Kumar, and MLA Balh Inder Singh Gandhi, among others.
