Nurpur
Discipline, positivity, and a commitment to the welfare of others have been the guiding principles of Shri Prem Kumar Sahotra’s life. On January 13, 2026, the respected resident of Noorpur completed a remarkable milestone—100 years of age.
A proud head of a large family, Sahotra lives in Ward No. 02 of Noorpur. His early education was completed at a local school, with the support and encouragement of his elder brother, Shri Shambhu Das. Beginning his career as a warehouse supervisor in Sarna, Sahotra later served in the Army Reserve, before returning home to continue supporting his family.
Determined to strengthen the family’s financial stability, he trained as a Patwari and subsequently secured employment as a clerk. After retirement, inspired by the ideology of the Congress party, Sahotra embarked on a political journey, eventually being nominated as a councilor in the Noorpur Committee.
Today, as he celebrates a century of life, Sahotra’s children have themselves retired from government service, while his grandchildren and great-grandchildren continue to excel in their respective fields. Known for his cheerful nature and positive outlook, he believes that true happiness lies in maintaining harmonious relationships and contributing to the well-being of society.
Even at 100, Prem Kumar Sahotra emphasizes his enduring wish: the continued development and prosperity of Noorpur.
