In a determined effort to curb illegal mining, Nurpur Police conducted a special checking drive across multiple areas in the past 24 hours. During the operation, legal action was taken against a total of nine vehicles found violating provisions of the Mining Act.
Details of Action:
- Damtal Police Station: 03 multi-axle trucks and 01 tractor were seized.
- Nurpur Police Station: 04 tractors were challaned for violations.
- Rehan Police Station: 01 tractor was booked under the Mining Act.
Legal Proceedings: All seized multi-axle trucks have been impounded and sent to court for further legal action. Necessary statutory proceedings have also been initiated against the tractors involved.
The Nurpur Police remain fully committed to preventing illegal mining and have assured that such drives will continue in the future. Authorities have appealed to the public to promptly share any information related to illegal mining activities with the police.
