Nurpur Police Crack Down on Illegal Mining – FIR Registered Against 5 Accused in Mand Indora

In a swift and decisive move against illegal mining, Nurpur Police have registered an FIR against five individuals in Mand Indora (Ward No. 11) for violating the government’s monsoon-season mining ban.

On July 24, 2026, FIR No. 119/2026 was lodged under Sections 303(2), 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 21 of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957. The accused were found engaged in illegal mining activities using loaders and tractor-trolleys.

Those booked include:

  • Bunty
  • Shiv
  • Shaku
  • Narender Singh alias Buddu (Loader owner)
  • Nasar —all residents of Mand Indora.

Police confirmed that further investigation is underway to identify other vehicles, machinery, and accomplices involved in the illegal mining operation.

Zero Tolerance Policy

Nurpur Police reiterated their zero tolerance stance against illegal mining and exploitation of rivers and natural resources, emphasizing strict legal action against offenders.
