Senior BJP leader, former minister, and MLA Sudhir Sharma hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership as the “Golden Era” in India’s history, stating that in the past 12 years, the nation has achieved milestones in development, self-reliance, and global recognition that were unmatched in the previous seven decades.

Sharma emphasized that PM Modi has not only governed but also instilled confidence, pride, and patriotism among citizens. Today, India stands as the world’s fifth-largest economy, asserting its voice strongly on global platforms.

Highlighting Himachal Pradesh’s transformation, Sharma credited Modi’s leadership for bringing unprecedented projects to the state, including the Atal Tunnel Rohtang, AIIMS Bilaspur, IIT Mandi, IIM Sirmaur, and the Bhanuplli-Bilaspur rail line. Schemes like Ujjwala Yojana freed women from smoke-filled kitchens, while Ayushman Bharat provided health security to millions of families.

In Kangra-Dharamshala, Sharma pointed to major upcoming projects: the Unity Mall at Daghwar, a milk processing plant by NDB, and an IT Park at Chaitru, which he said will boost trade, tourism, farmers’ income, and youth employment, positioning Kangra as an emerging IT hub.

He praised Modi’s bold decisions such as the abrogation of Article 370, the construction of the Ram Temple, and decisive actions like the surgical strikes and Balakot air strike, which strengthened national unity and showcased India’s capability against terrorism.

Recalling the COVID-19 pandemic, Sharma noted India’s success in conducting the world’s largest vaccination drive under Modi’s leadership, ensuring citizen safety while setting a global example of humanitarian service.

He underlined that Modi’s politics is rooted in “Antyodaya” — upliftment of the last person in society, citing schemes like Jan Dhan, Mudra, Swachh Bharat, and Digital India that have directly benefited farmers, orchardists, women, and youth in Himachal.

Looking ahead, Sharma said India is advancing rapidly towards the vision of “Viksit Bharat @2047”, while the BJP remains committed to making Himachal a Green State, tourism capital, and a hub for investment and employment.

Calling Modi a visionary and epoch-making leader, Sharma said India is steadily moving towards becoming a Vishwaguru (global leader). He concluded by offering heartfelt gratitude on behalf of Himachal’s people and urged collective support to realize the dream of a developed India.
