A meeting of shopkeepers and priests of Hadsar was convened today under the chairmanship of Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Bharmour, Mr. Vikas Sharma.
During the meeting, the ADM informed that all shops set up along the route from Hadsar to Dal Lake must strictly follow the NGT guidelines and obtain permission from the DFO office. He further stated that a cleanliness fee will also be collected by the DFO office from shopkeepers.
Mr. Sharma announced that repair work on stretches of the path damaged during last year’s monsoon has already begun. He emphasized that any unauthorized shops around Dal Lake will be removed. Directions were also issued to the Public Works Department to promptly repair road sections between Bharmaur and Hadsar affected by landslides.
The ADM added that wooden bridges at Dunali and Dhanchho—damaged in the previous monsoon—will be rebuilt by the DFO and PWD. He also sought suggestions from the priests regarding challenges faced during the pilgrimage, assuring that these would be addressed in the upcoming Manimahesh Yatra.
