A massive fire broke out early Friday (January 10, 2025) morning at a pharmaceutical unit in the industrial hub of Baddi in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, causing extensive damage worth lakhs of rupees.
Multiple fire tenders rushed to the spot and had been battling to bring the blaze under control till the filing of this report.
According to reports, the fire erupted around 4.45 am at the Samarth Life Sciences Pharma Company located in the Manpura area. No employee was present at the factory at the time of the incident, preventing any casualties. However, the fire has gutted a significant portion of the facility, causing substantial losses.
Firefighters arrived promptly after receiving the alert and began efforts to douse the flames. Despite their relentless efforts, the fire was still not entirely controlled as of 11 am. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
Local administration officials have reached the site and initiated an investigation to ascertain the reasons behind the incident.
