In a decisive move to curb illegal mining activities, Nurpur Police carried out a major operation in the Chakki Khad area, seizing heavy machinery and vehicles involved in unauthorized excavation.
According to the official press note issued by the Superintendent of Police, the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) team of Nurpur acted swiftly on September 17, 2026, after detecting illegal mining near Chakki Bridge in Kandwal. During routine patrolling and surveillance duty, the team discovered large-scale excavation being carried out with heavy machinery.
