In a significant political development, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) marked a historic day in Palampur as 129 families joined the party, signaling a decisive shift in local politics. The event coincided with the birthday of BJP State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal, who was presented with this symbolic gift of mass support.

Among the new entrants were 101 families formerly associated with Congress and 28 retired employees, many of whom expressed disillusionment with Congress policies. The occasion was celebrated with enthusiasm as party workers distributed sweets.

Senior BJP leader Trilok Kapoor played a pivotal role in mobilizing support, with his grassroots connect and commitment to public service being widely acknowledged. Addressing the gathering, Kapoor launched a sharp attack on the Congress government, accusing it of misleading the people with false promises and pushing the state into debt.

He asserted that Congress politics was built on “lies, deception, and false guarantees,” while BJP’s foundation rested on “service, good governance, and development.”

Kapoor highlighted that despite losing the last election, he remained dedicated to the people of Palampur, standing with them in their joys and sorrows. This, he said, was the reason behind the growing trust in BJP’s policies. He emphasized that BJP’s work in areas such as roads, healthcare, education, employment, and basic infrastructure had won the confidence of the public.

Welcoming the new members, Kapoor said BJP was not just a political party but a family and an ideology where every worker is respected. He expressed confidence that the new entrants would carry BJP’s vision of nationalism and development to every household in Palampur.

The event witnessed massive public participation, with senior leaders including Vinay Sharma, Gopesh Sharma, Rajesh Ranu, Suresh Pathania, Vijay Bhatt, Surender Thakur, Harish Walia, Ashok Rana, Ranjana Bhatt, Gurmeet Singh, and several others present.

The overwhelming support at the program was seen as a clear indication that Congress is losing ground in Palampur, while BJP under Trilok Kapoor is emerging stronger and more popular among the people.
