Hamirpur— Government Senior Secondary School, Chauri, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The event began with the ceremonial flag hoisting by the chief guest, Naib Subedar Shri Ashok Kumar.

Following the flag hoisting, students paid tribute to the chief guest with an impressive march-past. A vibrant cultural programme ensued, featuring patriotic songs, dances, and poetry recitations. The students captivated the audience with their energy and heartfelt expressions of national pride.

Principal Mrs. Sarita Dubey addressed the gathering, emphasizing that India’s independence was won through immense struggle and sacrifice. She urged everyone to remain committed to preserving the hard-earned freedom through continuous efforts.

In his speech, Naib Subedar Shri Ashok Kumar called upon the students to uphold the unity and integrity of the nation. He reminded them that the freedom they enjoy today is the result of the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters and brave soldiers. He encouraged the youth to embrace patriotism and always be ready to serve the country.

The event was attended by the school principal, teaching staff, parents, and local dignitaries. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks from the principal, who extended Independence Day greetings to all present.
