The Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank (HPSCB) has been adjudged as the third-best cooperative bank in India, earning accolades for its outstanding performance and innovative banking practices.
Union Home and Cooperative Minister Amit Shah presented the award to the bank’s Chairman Davender Shyam and Managing Director Shravan Manta at the Harak Jayanti celebrations of the International Cooperative Banking Federation and Nafscob during an international cooperative conference in New Delhi.
Adding another feather to its cap, the bank’s Agricultural Cooperative Employee Training Institute in Sangti was awarded the second-best training institute in the country for its quality and impactful training programmes.
Recognition for excellence
Chairman Davender Shyam credited the award to the efforts of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and the proactive measures undertaken by the state government to uplift cooperative institutions. “This recognition underscores the bank’s excellent performance and commitment to modern banking practices,” he stated. He also highlighted the state government’s initiatives aimed at improving the economic landscape of cooperative institutions in Himachal Pradesh.
In another milestone, the state cooperative bank has finalised the recruitment of 232 junior clerks. The results, declared by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), Mumbai, are now available on the bank’s official website, www.hpscb.com.
The selected candidates will undergo document verification before receiving appointment letters. A category-wise selection and waiting list has also been published for transparency.
