Himachal news: HPTDC hosts strategic meeting with leading PSUs to boost tourism collaboration


DHARAMSHALA: The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) organised a high-level meeting on Monday (May 19, 2025) at Himachal Bhawan in New Delhi, bringing together senior officials from several prominent public sector undertakings (PSUs).


The objective of the meeting was to explore collaborative avenues to promote tourism and present the HPTDC’s wide-ranging hospitality offerings to the corporate sector.
The gathering was attended by top dignitaries, including general managers and directors from leading PSUs such as HPCL, DMRC, ONGC, GAIL, SAIL, CONCOR, IREDA, IOCL and ONGC, along with senior legal professional KK Sultan Singh, senior advocate at the Delhi High Court Bar Association.

Their presence marked a significant step toward potential public-private collaboration in tourism.
Leading the HPTDC delegation were Dr Rajiv Kumar, managing director, and Anil Taneja, general manager. The team gave a comprehensive presentation on the corporation’s extensive tourism infrastructure, including a range of luxury and budget hotels, adventure tourism offerings and tailored hospitality services across Himachal Pradesh.


During the discussions, PSU officials expressed strong interest in establishing formal partnerships with HPTDC through memoranda of understanding (MoUs). These agreements would allow PSU employees and associates to access exclusive travel packages and discounted rates at HPTDC properties, encouraging corporate tourism and facilitating economical travel solutions for government-linked enterprises.


The meeting concluded on a positive and constructive note, with both sides agreeing to expedite further discussions to formalise these partnerships. The HPTDC reaffirmed its commitment to fostering corporate relationships to promote tourism in Himachal Pradesh and strengthen its position as a premier travel destination.
