Himachal Day was celebrated with reverence at the War Memorial today, marking the formation of Himachal Pradesh as a province in 1948. Prof. Chander Kumar, Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, graced the occasion and laid a wreath to pay homage to the fallen soldiers.
The Governing Council Members, staff of the War Memorial Development Society, and other dignitaries warmly welcomed the Minister. Deputy Commissioner Kangra, Superintendent of Police, and SDM were also present during the ceremony.
Adding to the significance of the day, Col. Jeet Bahadur, who embarked on a Motor Cycle Expedition on April 5, arrived at the War Memorial and was received with great respect.
The event reflected the spirit of pride and gratitude towards the sacrifices of soldiers and the historic journey of Himachal Pradesh.
