Kangana Ranaut finally moves into her heritage Delhi MP house; find out what she chose to hang on walls

Nearly a year after being elected as an MP from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, actor-politician Kangana Ranaut has finally settled into her official residence in Delhi.

The move, delayed due to extensive restoration work on the century-old heritage bungalow, was completed just in time for Akshaya Tritiya, considered an auspicious day for new beginnings.

Kangana marked the occasion with traditional housewarming ceremonies and shared intimate glimpses of her new home through her social media platforms, giving fans a rare peek into her life as a parliamentarian.

Preserving history with modern touches

The heritage bungalow, allocated to Kangana as part of her MP accommodation, underwent a painstaking restoration process to maintain its old-world charm while incorporating contemporary comforts.
A member of the interior designing team said they worked meticulously to “peel back layers” and restore the property to its original grandeur.

The result is a stunning blend of vintage elegance and modern functionality, featuring high ceilings, antique wooden furniture and handcrafted chandeliers.

Kangana’s personal touch is evident throughout the space, particularly in the hand-painted portraits that adorn the walls, each telling a story of her journey from Bollywood to Parliament.

Home that tells a story

More than just a residence, the bungalow reflects Kangana’s bold personality and her transition into public service.
She shared videos of herself performing traditional ‘griha pravesh’ rituals, balancing a kalash on her head as she walked through the elegantly decorated halls.

Dressed in a cream silk saree with red borders and minimal gold jewellery, Kangana looked every bit the regal hostess as she welcomed family members, including her sister-in-law Ritu Ranaut, for an intimate celebration.

The home’s décor, a mix of classic Indian artistry and understated sophistication, mirrors Kangana’s own aesthetic: rooted in tradition yet unafraid to stand out.
For Kangana, the move marks a significant milestone in her political career.

In her Instagram posts, she expressed gratitude to her design team for their efforts in transforming the historic property into a comfortable yet majestic living space.
