Global Leaders Condemn Pahalgam Attack, Express Solidarity with India

The brutal terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam tourist hub of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday (April 22, 2025), which resulted in the deaths of 28 persons, has drawn widespread international condemnation.
Leaders from around the world have expressed their solidarity with India and denounced the heinous act.

US President Donald Trump stated, “Deeply disturbing news out of Kashmir. The United States stands strong with India against terrorism. We pray for the souls of those lost and for the recovery of the injured. Prime Minister Modi and the incredible people of India have our full support and deepest sympathies.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin conveyed his condolences, emphasising that “this brutal crime has no justification whatsoever,” and expressed confidence that the perpetrators would face deserved punishment.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed deep sorrow over the attack, stating, “Italy expresses its closeness to the families affected, the injured, the Government, and all the Indian people.”
The United Arab Emirates’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the attack, affirming its rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism aimed at undermining security and stability.

French Ambassador to India, Thierry Mathou, also condemned the attack, expressing solidarity with India in the fight against terrorism.
These unified responses from the international community underscore a collective stance against terrorism and a shared commitment to supporting India during this challenging time.

The global outpouring of support not only provides solace to the victims’ families but also reinforces the importance of international cooperation in combating terrorism.
