Gaggal (Kangra): A major fire incident occurred in Abdulllapur village on Sunday morning when a cooking gas cylinder caught fire in a household kitchen. The blaze broke out while a woman family member was preparing food. She narrowly escaped being engulfed by the flames, though her hands and feet sustained minor burns.
The fire quickly spread, destroying the kitchen chimney, geyser, and other household items. Fire department personnel rushed to the spot and managed to control the cylinder fire before it could cause further damage.
Upon learning of the incident, APMC District President and State Congress OBC Department President Chaudhary Narendra Nishu Mongra reached the site. He assured the affected family of all possible assistance and promised that compensation would be arranged through government and departmental channels once the official report is prepared.
Panchayat Pradhan Sanjay Kancha and Block Congress Committee President Nageshwar Mankotia also accompanied Mongra during the visit. Expressing solidarity with the family, Mongra emphasized that the administration will ensure timely relief and support to help them recover from the loss.
