Overnight stay in Bada Bhangal reflects inclusive governance

Dharamshala, June 27: Congress leader and Director of the State Food and Supplies Corporation, Puneet Malli, described Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s overnight stay in the remote region of Bada Bhangal as a symbol of sensitive, people-centric governance.
Malli emphasized that for the first time since Independence, a Chief Minister has chosen to spend the night in Bada Bhangal—not merely as part of an official program, but as a reflection of a vision where governance steps out of office files and reaches the last village in the mountains. “The Chief Minister has sent a clear message: no region is too far for the government to reach, and no citizen is too distant for their voice to be heard,” he said.
Highlighting the government’s initiatives under Sukhu’s leadership, Malli pointed to schemes such as the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh-Samman Nidhi Yojana for women’s empowerment, special relief packages for disaster-hit families, strengthened health and education facilities in rural areas, and social security programs for vulnerable groups. He noted that decisions benefiting employees and youth also reflect the administration’s commitment to ordinary citizens.
Malli added that the Chief Minister’s presence in a geographically challenging area like Bada Bhangal demonstrates that the government is not confined to policy-making but is actively reaching out to communities long excluded from mainstream development.
“CM Sukhu’s working style has redefined sensitive governance in Himachal Pradesh. By listening directly to people’s concerns and seeking ground-level solutions, he is strengthening democracy. This visit will pave the way for development in remote regions, expansion of basic infrastructure, and renewed public trust,” Malli stated.
He concluded that Sukhu has once again proven that a true leader is one who chooses the toughest paths to reach those who are often remembered last.
