MLA Neeraj Nayyar inaugurates road projects in Chamba constituency

MLA Neeraj Nayyar today inaugurated the 2-km Daroga–Milha jeepable road in Gram Panchayat Singi, constructed at a cost of ₹5.7 million under the Backward Area Sub-Plan. Addressing the public gathering, he emphasized that connecting every village with road facilities remains his top priority, as development depends on strong connectivity.

Nayyar announced that the Daroga–Milha road would be further extended up to Singi. He also directed the Public Works Department to prepare an estimate for linking Panjiyar village with the Fatehpur road, ensuring villagers benefit from improved road access.

Foundation Stone at Fatehpur–Suhgla Road

Earlier, the MLA performed the bhoomipujan of the 1-km Fatehpur–Suhgla road, to be built at a cost of ₹2.4 million, benefiting nearly 10 villages directly.

Other Development Works

  • Inaugurated a 35,000-litre capacity water tank at Samui village in Gram Panchayat Singi.
  • Directed departments to ensure regular LPG distribution vehicles reach Fatehpur and Milha villages.
  • Announced installation of a 25 KVA transformer in Fatehpur to resolve low-voltage issues.
  • Assured strengthening of basic amenities including safe drinking water, education, and electricity supply.

The event was attended by Meena Devi, Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Singi; Joginder Sharma, Executive Engineer (PWD); Jitendra Sharma, Executive Engineer (Jal Shakti); Kanav, Assistant Engineer; representatives from nearby panchayats; and a large number of villagers.
