Car Falls Into Gorge in Kangra: 3 D*ead, 2 critically Injured

The accident occurred in the Shahpur assembly segment of district Kangara on the Dharakandi road near Ghera village, close to a Hanuman temple. The vehicle is suspected to have gone out of control during the night and fallen into the gorge.

The incident came to light on Saturday morning when passersby noticed the damaged car lying deep down the slope and alerted local residents, police, and the administration.

The deceased have been identified as Karan, a teacher, and his two daughters, who d*ied on the spot. His wife and another daughter sustained serious injuries in the accident. Locals immediately launched a rescue operation and pulled the injured out of the gorge before emergency services arrived.

A 108 ambulance team rushed the injured to a nearby hospital. Due to their critical condition, both were referred to Tanda Medical College, where they are undergoing treatment.

Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. Preliminary findings indicate that poor road conditions or loss of control in the dark may have led to the accident. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause.

The incident has left the entire Shahpur area in mourning, with residents calling for improved road safety measures.
