Bharmour
A one-day training camp was organised in Bharmour for farmers and horticulturists of the Bharmaur block, in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology (DST). The camp aimed to raise awareness about modern agricultural techniques, with a special focus on mushroom cultivation, and to introduce new income-generating opportunities for local farmers.
Subject expert Dr. Manohar Lal and project in-charge Dr. Bhupendra were present at the camp and provided detailed insights into various aspects of mushroom farming. Topics covered included advanced cultivation techniques, production processes, care and disease management, and marketing strategies. The experts emphasized that mushroom farming can be started with minimal investment and offers promising returns.
Farmers participated enthusiastically, engaging in discussions and seeking solutions to their queries. At the conclusion of the camp, 300 mushroom bags were distributed among 100 farmers to help them begin practical cultivation and strengthen their livelihoods.
