Dharamshala: A spirited week of celebration came to an inspiring close at V.M.R.T., Captain Saurabh Kalia Memorial Nursing College (CSKMNC), where Nurses Week 2025 was observed with enthusiasm and national pride. Held under the global theme “Nurses: A Voice to Lead – Caring for All,” the event highlighted the essence of nursing — service, compassion, and leadership.
The festivities began with a soulful patriotic song dedicated to the armed forces, setting a heartfelt tone for the days ahead. The emotional tribute honored both soldiers and nurses, linking two professions united by dedication and sacrifice.
Over the week, students participated in various sporting events including volleyball, kho-kho, and kabaddi. The competitions infused the campus with energy, fostering teamwork and showcasing athletic excellence. Student Ramya was named “Best Athlete” for her standout performances.
The final day featured a felicitation ceremony where winners of different events were awarded trophies. A key highlight was the annual scholarship presentation — Dr. N.K. Kalia awarded Rs. 10,000 to student Kritika Sharma for her outstanding academic record.
Other major activities included a health awareness rally, poster-making competitions, community service initiatives, wellness sessions, and cultural performances, all reflecting the diverse talents and commitment of nursing students.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Unit Head Dr. Vimal Rai Dubey and Principal Ms. Reeya Sood praised the hard work and enthusiasm of both students and faculty. “Your efforts have made this week memorable and meaningful,” they said.
The event reinforced CSKMNC’s commitment to holistic nursing education, celebrating not just academic excellence, but also physical well-being, civic responsibility, and national service.
