Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Dalhousie, celebrated the Sacred Heart Feast on June 12, 2026, with deep devotion and joyous enthusiasm. The day commenced with a solemn morning prayer at the Church in the gracious presence of Father Anand Bately, Parish Priest of St. Francis Church, along with the Sisters, teachers, and students.
The occasion began with a warm greeting by Vice Principal, Sr. Lissy Anthony, followed by a graceful welcome dance and the Holy Mass, setting a spiritually uplifting tone for the celebrations.
The festivities thereafter continued in Mother Placida’s Auditorium, where the school community gathered to celebrate the spirit of faith and togetherness. The programme commenced with a prayer song and welcome dance, followed by an insightful presentation highlighting the significance of the Sacred Heart, symbolised through the Heart and the Flame, representing unconditional love and divine compassion.
The Kindergarten students delighted the audience with a charming dance performance. A thought-provoking skit by Class X-C, inspired by the parable of the Good Samaritan, beautifully conveyed the message that kindness creates the greatest difference. Through the portrayal of a Samaritan helping an injured man, the skit underscored the teachings of Jesus, emphasising unconditional love, dignity, humanity, and the virtues of both head and heart.
Adding moments of laughter, Class V-B presented a comic dance drama that entertained the audience immensely. The boys of Class X-C impressed everyone with an energetic dance performance, while a vibrant Punjabi dance celebrated cultural diversity. An orchestra performance by the boys and girls of Class V-B captivated the audience with a delightful medley of songs and musical harmony. The celebration concluded with a graceful Nati dance by the girls of Class X-C, paying tribute to the rich cultural heritage of Himachal Pradesh.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Sr. Molly Cherian extended Feast greetings and highlighted the central message of the Sacred Heart—unconditional love as taught by Jesus Christ. She appreciated the students for their commendable performances and for conveying the essence of the occasion so meaningfully.
Chocolates were distributed among the students, adding sweetness to a day marked by faith, joy, and togetherness.
