Shimla: Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri led a crucial meeting in Shimla to discuss a special action plan aimed at the grandeur, expansion, and beautification of temples in Himachal Pradesh. The primary focus is on improving facilities for devotees across various power centers and controlled temples.
The state government’s unwavering commitment to promoting and preserving the devotional culture of Himachal was evident, with plans for extensive projects to enhance renowned power centers and temples. Among the proposed initiatives are online worship services, live streaming of Aartis, online donation facilities, and the option for online booking of langars. Special attention is being given to incorporate accessibility features for differently-abled individuals.
In a bid for transparency, the financial details of all temples will be made public. Deputy Chief Minister Agnihotri underscored the spiritual ambience in Himachal and announced preparations for the “Himachal ke Raghunath” tableau at Bharat Parv in Delhi, showcasing the essence of Kullu Dussehra.
The state is also commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Shimla State Museum, planning a series of activities throughout the year. Additionally, the Department is set to release a special issue of their bi-monthly magazine “Vipasha,” dedicated to Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar. The inauguration is scheduled during the statehood day celebration by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukkhu.
Key participants in the meeting included Rakesh Kanwar, Secretary of Language and Culture, Director Dr. Pankaj Lalit, and Joint Director Manjeet Sharma. The comprehensive discussion reflects the state’s proactive approach to uphold and advance its rich cultural and spiritual heritage.
