Dharamshala: Approximately 2800 litres of illicit liquor was confiscated and subsequently destroyed by Kangra police on Monday.
In a continued crackdown on substance abuse, Kangra police, led by SDPO Kangra Ankit Sharma and an excise team, conducted the operation.
Kangra additional SP Bir Bahadur informed that this action was taken under the jurisdiction of Kangra police station about five pending cases and in compliance with court orders.
Bahadur said that Kangra police consistently remain vigilant against drug traffickers, with 7 cases registered related to excise violations. Legal proceedings are underway against those involved in these cases to curb the menace of illegal substances in the region.
