Three Nepali nationals among the deceased; one person critically injured and referred to Shimla for specialised treatment

SHIMLA: A tragic road accident near Daroti village in the Nawar area of Rohru in Shimla district claimed five lives, including those of a mother and her son, on Saturday morning. One person was seriously injured in the accident and was referred to Shimla for advanced medical treatment.
The accident occurred around 8:20 am near Panu Nala, close to Daroti village, when a car met with an accident under circumstances that are yet to be ascertained. The impact was reportedly severe, leaving five occupants dead. Three of the deceased were Nepali nationals.
The deceased have been identified as Kushal, son of Pramod, and his mother Kalpana Devi, wife of Pramod, both residents of Daroti village. The other three victims were identified as Nirmala, wife of Pawan; Meena, wife of Prem; and Roshan, daughter of Prem, all Nepali nationals.
A Nepali labourer sustained serious injuries in the accident. He was initially provided medical attention and subsequently referred to Shimla for further treatment.
The incident has plunged Daroti and the wider Nawar region into grief, with the deaths of five people in a single accident leaving several families devastated. The loss of a mother and her son has added to the tragedy.
Education Minister expresses grief
Education Minister Rohit Thakur expressed deep sorrow over the tragic accident near Daroti village in the Tikkar-Nawar area. Describing the loss of five lives as extremely painful, he extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for peace to the departed souls. He also wished strength to the affected families to overcome the difficult time.
Chief Minister directs proper medical care for injured
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu also expressed grief over the accident near Panu Nala in the Daroti area, falling under the Tikkar police post of Rohru police station.
The Chief Minister directed the authorities to ensure proper medical treatment for the injured at the nearest health facility and prayed for their speedy recovery.
