Nurpur Police Seize Assets Worth ₹3.32 Crore from Drug Mafia

In a major crackdown against narcotics, Nurpur Police have seized assets worth ₹3,32,30,941 belonging to accused Balwinder alias Billa, son of Gyan Chand, resident of village Channi, Tehsil Indora, District Kangra.

The case was registered on 29 December 2025 under ND&PS Act Sections 20 & 29 at Police Station Damtal, where police recovered 1.852 kg of charas from the accused and arrested him.

Financial Investigation

  • During investigation, police identified suspicious movable and immovable properties linked to drug trafficking.
  • Assets included land, hotel‑cum‑restaurant, shops, vehicles, and bank deposits.
  • The total value of assets was found to be ₹3.32 crore, which was frozen and reported to the competent authority in New Delhi.
  • On 9 September 2026, the authority confirmed the seizure order, validating that the assets were acquired through illegal drug trade.

Ongoing Campaign

Nurpur Police have so far seized assets worth ₹29.95 crore across 17 cases till 10 September 2026. Several other cases are under consideration with the competent authority in Delhi.

Officials stated that the campaign against drug traffickers will continue with full force to dismantle the narcotics network and safeguard the youth from addiction.
